Perennial herb; Leaves compound and alternate with trifoliate leaflets; Primarily in the subtropical biome. Grows in dry soils of sandy pinehills, woodlands, and savannas. Specimen found in Bay County, FL. 4 miles N. of fountain along the railroad underpass at edge of pine-oak woods. The default minimum separation distance is 1 km (NatureServe Explorer 2.0)
